WILD Network Communications Fellow

IDEAL CANDIDATE :

You will be in charge of representing our company by building a social media presence for our brand. Run social media advertising campaigns and drive engagement by creating high-quality original written and visual content. Engage influencers, manage our community by responding to comments, and oversee our customer service platform on social media. We want someone who understands different platforms and who knows hacks that will improve our engagement and reach. 

Job Description: This position is responsible for the coordination of WILD’s communication activities and events.

Work hours are flexible and can be done virtually.

Compensation: $15 USD/hour. 10-15 hrs/week (April 1 - December 15, 2020, with the option to extend).

Qualities of Successful Candidate Include:

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and enjoys collaborating as part of a small team.

  • Creating high-quality original written and visual content for a social media campaign.

Preferred Know-How:

  • Experience using social media for professional purposes, especially Twitter and LinkedIn); experience with management platforms (e.g. Hootsuite) preferred.

  • Experience using email communications platforms (e.g. Mail Chimp).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating digital content consistent with organization's brand, including online publishing, graphic design, and development of digital resource materials;

  • Analyzing metrics and recommending actions for increasing performance; Monitoring company brand and building brand awareness on social media.

  • Communicating/Coordinating with CEO and Partnerships Manager to ensure Social Media posts reflect project messaging and priorities. Able to develop the right voice for each social media platform.

  • Meeting with team in person once a week for a mutually convenient time in Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC. if residing in the DMV.

  • Create a communications calendar with posting schedule (a content plan with 3-5 posts a day per platform for our May event).

  • Maintain database and files
